Drunk Stuntmen this weekend at the Rt. 63 Roadhouse

Drunk Stuntmen don't want you to miss out on what very well may be the most important events of their existence together.

The gigs go as follows: Saturday, Nov 29 at The Rt. 63 Roadhouse, Millers Falls, MA; Saturday, Dec 6 at Church in Boston; and Wednesday, Dec. 31 at St. John Cantius in Northampton.

Recently, the band has seen an attendance spike as fans understand that the gigs are farther and fewer between. It's harder and harder to get even single tickets to some of the largest of rooms they play. The bar has been set incredibly high. The music is being contained under intense pressure and every note packs a hundred times the punch it used to. Those who used to sit a dance floor's length away are now becoming unable to resist the urge to partake, oftentimes, suddenly, in mid-song, finding themselves searching for their companions on the dance floor who are doing the same, twenty feet away, drenched in sweat, and dizzy from the spinning, shaking, and clapping, screaming, "Stuntmen ruuuuuuuuleeeee!!!" from their hot, hoarse throats, selflessly trying to compete with the electrical impulses careening from the speaker cones. Some get carted off on stretchers, reflexively giving the thumbs up to the band, who tip their hats between measures as the EMT's frantically disregard the importance of what is happening under the stage lights. Who could blame them; they're trying to save a life. Little do they know, we're all in it together.

Drunk Stuntmen are happy to invite you to the Rt. 63 Roadhouse this Saturday for a special annual show. For almost twenty years, on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Drunk Stuntmen have put on their boots, packed up their amps, and headed out to play the most important show of the year. If you were there at the beginning, chances are you still are. If you've just caught on, I can't stress enough how important this Holiday season's worth of shows is. You don't want to read about it in the papers, and we don't want you to have to hear it from a friend.

Don't let the newsmen or the economy trick you into thinking that you don't deserve the very best. You do. And if you come out on Saturday, you will be able to say someday that you knew it mattered; you understood the importance; you gave it your all; you followed your instinct; and you wouldn't trade it for anything anyone could ever ask for.

You are flying without a chute. You are fighting with bare hands. You are carrying the ball without a helmet.

You are doing your own stunts.

Please don't ever stop.

Thank you.

Drunk Stuntmen.
