Greeting Stuntfans - Now that we have the nation's newest consumer driven Holiday, Halloween, past us we can look to the future. Wow, Halloween is bigger than Christmas these days, as far as lighting, decorations costumes and how many coins we drop to get all of this cool flashy, blinky orange and brown stuff. Remember when Halloween meant going to the old Crowley Estate to hang out with Jimmy Page and Robert Plant for a seance, a couple of cocktails and some innocent blood letting? Well...I don't either but I've seen the VH1 Specials.

So, If you were there, you know how freaking good the Halloween Show at the Iron Horse was. Considering every thing else that was going on in town, including Great music at other venues and the Red Sox pounding away at their Victory march, we Hail all of the dedicated Stuntfans who made it. Best Get to the Wine Jam ever, as well as Michael Jackson's Thriller.

Congratulations to all of the costumed folks who walked away with a vintage vinyl copy of Soup's Prospects of Linguica.

As you may have read, here, in the past, the Iron Horse Show was the DVD Release Party for the Drunk Stuntmen/Young at Heart Chorus Back to Back. This DVD documents the historic collaboration between these two bands in 2004.

If you were unable to get a copy of the DVD at the show it is available at Drunkstuntmen.com. Click on the catalog link. You can purchase the DVD online in a safe and secure environment. We won't fund our next tour with your credit card number, but you can luxuriate in the good feelings with the knowledge that your purchase of this DVD is helping to fund the production of the upcoming Drunk Stuntmen CD "State Fair". It is kind of like making a non-tax deductible contribution to public live music. Now it is time for OUR fall fund drive. From WFCR we have Martin Miller and Bob Paquette.

Martin Miller : "If you contribute at the $15 dollar level we will send you this wonderful DVD. Bob, Did you know that The Young at Heart Chorus just played with the Legendary David Byrne in NYC?"

Bob Paquette : "Well...no, Martin, I did not know that."

Martin Miller : "And you call yourself the news guy? For 15 Dollars, that's just four cents a day...1.24 a month you can have this fine DVD to add to your collection."

FYI the DVD is shot with 4 different camera angles on film. It is a classy little package. Here is a link that will take you directly our catalog page. The DVD can also be purchased at Dynamite Record in Northampton. Tell them Bow Bow sent you. It will also be available for purchase at the Young At Heart Chorus Website.

Speaking of Classy...Congratulations go out to Lutie and Jack Cain on their recent marriage. They are big Stuntmen supporters from Down Yonder.

Things are moving along with "State Fair" Mitch Easter will be doing the final mix down later in the month. We will keep you updated as things progress. The band is going to hit the road for an extended tour starting sometime in March of 2008.

The Drunk Stuntmen are featured in the November edition of the Northeast Performer Magazine. the feature includes a live review. You can view the magazine on line at...

There is a show on Friday night at Joe Bomber's in Torrington, CT. This is a new venue for the Stuntmen so come out and show your support.

Two Big shows are coming up at the Rt. 63 Roadhouse in Miller's Falls, MA. The First one is the post Thanksgiving Bash on November 24. Yarn, a bluegrass band from Brooklyn, NY is opening. This will be the last chance to see Freddy and Steve before the head off to France with the Young at Heart Chorus. I highly recommend the Dali Museum guys. If you go to the Louvre to see Mona, bring your magnifying glass. She's kinda small.

The Second show at the Roadhouse is scheduled for 12/31, New Year's Eve. Say no more.

Information about upcoming shows in December will be included in next week's newsletter.

Until Then - Do Your Own Stunts!
