Roadhouse, Band Slam, et Al

Hello Friends,

Freddy Freedom here to remind everybody, anybody, and the rest of you, to come to the Rt. 63 Roadhouse in Miller's Falls this saturday August 11. Why? Well, I'm glad you asked. Your pals, Drunk Stuntmen will be performing all night long. We have been given permission to tear the roof off the sucker as long as we help put it back on at the end of the night. I guess we'll do anything for some rum soaked cherries and pickled kielbasa. Anyone with roofing experience who would like to help will get a special thank you when it's all fixed.

A big thank you to all who voted (and for that matter, nominated us) in this year's Valley Advocate's Grand Band Slam. Drunk Stuntmen were voted "Best Roots-Rock Band" for the third year straight. This also garners us a spot in the coveted GBS hall of fame for which we are honored with a "Slammy". Yes I said slammy. What does all this mean? Well you guys are asking some important questions. It means that a very special lineup of Drunk Stuntmen will be performing at Look Park on Sat. Sep. 8. More details as we sort it all out. We're all pretty much spent from the excitement. Really.

Finally, my Stunt Double, Alex Johnson (nominated but uncrowned for best guitarist) will be the featured artist at the Basement's open mic night on wednedsay, Aug. 15. The Basement is located under Table 9 (it's closed now but the sign's still up) on Center St. in Northampton. I'll be playing a half hour solo from 11:30 till midnight. There will be some new songs, some old songs, and some songs you don't want to hear at all. But, it's free and if you don't like me, you can sign up and play your own crappy songs while I play harmonica from the back of the room. Warning, I only have a G# and it's *wicked* loud.
